Georges Chakra's Spring-Summer 2017 fashion show was held on January 24 at the Palais de Tokyo, as part of the Parisian Haute Couture Week.

Georges Chakra invites us in a festive atmosphere. His new collection is, in fact, entirely inspired by an exceptional moment: The wedding of his own daughter next summer, for which the designer imagined a procession of modern refinement, absolute glamour.

 

Beautiful days with the sound... of a beautiful day

Let the festivities begin! With white light, that of the summer, mixed with pastel shades, tones of the dawn, mist, bluish reflections and all the shades of pink.

Overlays of tulle and openwork, hide-and-seek games and felicity of blur between English embroidery, guipures, hand-painted evanescent prints, sparkles of crystal or shimmering laminated laser cut... But also the look of corsets and bustiers, the most feminine pieces of all...

 

Guests are living the dream

A short dress with crystal dragonflies, long radiant jet-tight sleeve, ample organza pants and striped satin, ribbon-inlaid coat blast, high stature cape, ostrich feathers, extremely chic, a tuxedo neckline and a sparkly see-through bolero... Beautiful ornaments of the ceremony, the guests are dressed in vaporous elegance, with numerous details and enchanting ruffles, sexy asymmetrical cuts and shapes of a contemporary bliss.

 

Bridesmaids and young flower girls

Violets, roses, campanulas, nasturtiums, lilies, magnolia, butterflies twirling.... It's a true blossoming of ballerina gowns, a quite vivacious garden of Eden, an anthology of handmade flowers, some painted, others made with aerial lace, silk embroideries, glitter, or lacquered wood... bouquets of sensuality for a charming escort ready to escort the bride to happy ever after.

 

A bride in seventh heaven

a delightful set of tulle enhanced with horsehair and dotted with a euphoria of peas and sequins.

The collection recieved a standing ovation from a large crowd, including American actor Shawn Pyfrom and actress Océane Chiaroni, Czech model and philanthropist Petra Nemcova, famous jeweler Fawaz Gruosi and Sophie Taylor, French actresses Noémie Merlant and Cyrielle Clair and the model and Miss France Flora Coquerel applauding Chakra at the end of his show.
